Guests
All visitors to MIYC must be a guest of a current member, except for Visiting Sailors and Reciprocal Guests who are considered guests of the Club itself. Guests fall into one of the following Guest categories:
- House Guest – anyone staying overnight as a guest in the home of a Member.
- Day Guest – anyone invited to the Club for the day by a Member.
- Social Guest – anyone invited to the Club by a Member for a Club-sponsored social event, such as parties and picnics.
- Program Guest – anyone with special approval for limited participation in club programs.
- Visiting Sailors – anyone renting a Club mooring who is not a Member, House Guest, Day Guest, or Honorary Guest.
- Reciprocal Guests – anyone visiting the Club by boat who is a member in good standing of a yacht club with which the Club maintains a reciprocal relationship.
Babysitters, and children under age 16 (or turning 16 in the current season) who are living with a Member and are a relative of the Member, are considered part of the Member’s family and do not have to be registered as House Guests or Day Guests.
Adult House Guests staying longer than 21 days must apply for a Summer Privilege Membership.
All guests must be registered in advance by their host member.
Visiting Sailors and Reciprocal Guests should notify the Club Manager of their intended arrival date as soon as possible to reserve a guest mooring, and must sign-in with a Club Steward immediately upon arrival.
Guest fees will be billed to the host Member.

(1) Guest Fees are waived for the 1st seven days.
(2) Day Guests may sail in MIYC boats in regattas if the proper forms are filed.
(3) Visiting Yachtsmen and Reciprocal Guests may attend Club social events as Social Guests of a Member.
